Unfortunately, it is EGA/VGA specific. Fortunately, the Turbo Pascal source code is freely available (pointers to archives are included inside, I believe); it was written (as far as adapters go) in a fairly portable manner (though everything else is in a horrid style) and can be modified (albeit not as easily as one would ideally want) to support the Hercules card.
