Canada Lines: 32 This is a general plea for help. **** HELP **** A friend of mine has acquired two (2) Digital Equipment DEC-MATE III MS-DOS personal computers. All he got in the deal was the computer units, power cords, and one disk with what we hope is a version of DOS, which will run the things. What he didn't get was keyboards, monitors, monitor cables, documentation. The disk is not in standard DOS format, but we managed to get some copies of it made with a COPYIIPC board. DEC does not acknowledge that such a system was ever made. (Their way of avoiding support of a product which was a merchandising failure.) If there is anyone out there with experience or information that they are willing to provide, please send me mail. Thanks ever so much. -- Ian Wood Systems Operator UUCP : iwood@uvicctr.uvic.ca University of Victoria BITNET : CCIAN@UVVM C eh N eh D eh (It's a Sierra, Eric) Disclaimer (noun) : An heinously vulgar concept perpetuated by bureaucrats and lawyers. =-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-=+=-= "And what if I should refuse to get this Loc-Nar?"
