As it turns out, the GatorBox has nothing to do with my problem. The problem stems from a trio of INITS - Responder, Broadcast, and PublicFolder. Any two of the three work fine together. All three, though, cause NCSA Telnet and Laser Printing to not work. Telnet says that the local host of gateway is not responding, and printing aborts with the message "unknown error". I have eliminated the possibility of the GatorBox being the culprit by attempting to print to a local LaserWriter with identical results. Also, AppleShare via aufs never has any problems. *sigh* I guess I'll have to do without one of those INITs. Probably the Responder... Matt Hardin mdh@SR.COM
