I wish to enhance a numerical program currently written in Think C (DigiGraf) by allowing the viewing and scrolling around of pictures, both bitmaps and objects. Do people think it would be easier to find example code for this in plain old C (eg, Programmer's extender), or to use some of the OOP tools now available. Is there, for example, a class available to read a TIFF, MPNT, or PICT file and display it? If I use OOP, should I buy Apples C++, or stick with Think C v4.0? FYI, I have a MacIIx with plenty of RAM, and already own Think C v4.0 and MPW C v3. I am prepared to summarise the answers I get. ------------------- W.
