Perhaps the MIT release of X11.4 will include support for > additional monitors under A/UX. A/UX version 1.1 will support any monitor that the Macintosh supports, according to the best sources I know of. I have been running A/UX with a Moniterm Viking I monitor, with no problems whatsoever. In fact, I have not heard in the past 6-9 months of any monitors that do *not* work well with A/UX. And this holds true for the X Window System running on A/UX as well, both the MIT distribution and the Apple X11R3 product. I would recommend the Apple X11R3 product over the MIT X11R3 distribution, at least at the moment. The server is noticeably faster. This may change, however, if the MIT X11R4 distribution (coming Real Soon Now) includes the latest Apple server. Also, the Apple product supports 8-bit color, whereas the MIT X11R3 A/UX server supports only monochrome. Anyway, enough said. The short answer is: get whatever monitor you like best -- it is 99 44/100 % probable that it will work with X on A/UX.
