X-Mailer: Mail User's Shell (6.5.6 6/30/89) It just so happens I was off to see a life insurance (affectionately known as "cash at death") agent the other day. When I told him what I did, he told me about a recent venture his company has just begun: CrownLife has formed (incorporated?) and underwritten an association called "Computer Consultants of Canada". One of the purposes of this association is to provide a centralized agency to manage group insurance, disability insurance, etc. for individual consultants. I know nothing more at this time, except that this is new. They may, or may not, have dental plans, etc. So far as I know, the association is not controlled directly by CrownLife. If anyone wants to find out more, call Fred Ryall (or one of his associates) at 224-5820. He is the Sales Manager of the Toronto North York Agency in the Madison Centre (suite 1010) on Yonge Street north of Sheppard. He expressed interest in holding a presentation for any group of people whom I though might be interested, and if you are on any mailing lists I'm sure you'll get info from this association. I'm not real sure, but I think I've already received something via CIPS. I sure wish this was available when I was working on my own! BTW, they are going to be trying to sucker me into buying permanent life insurance just before the next UU meeting, so I might be able to get more details at that time. -- Greg A.
