I got the files back out of our /news/spool/* area, did the stripping,
cat'ed them together, and ported them back down to my pc.  I have
uuencode running on my pc.  (Which is, incidently, where they were
uuencoded in the first place.)  Then I was able to successfully extract
the programs.  I also uudecoded it on the Unix machine, and used Kermit
in "set file type binary" mode to port it down to my pc.  This also
worked.  Perhaps you overlooked something, or maybe it got corrupted in
the mail.
