    Does any one out there know the format of a TIFF file? I
am working on a optical character recognition device here at 
MSU.  (The one in Montana, not that other one.)  I have been using
an Eikonix camera to digitize images to process, but it takes forever.
Computing services just got a ScanJet Plus that is quick, but the software
saves the image in TIFF format.
