Proceedings are generally much too long to be posted to newsgroups, and I think trying to do this would upset a fair number of system administrators. Newsgroups are better-suited to the discussion of some of the more interesting articles. Since this topic is basically an advanced development of the object-oriented paradigm, I would think that the proceedings should be published in conjunction with SIGOBJ, an ACM SIG on the object-oriented paradigm which is presently in the works. For now, the object-oriented discussions are taking place under either the SIGPLAN (SIGPLAN => Special Interest Group on Programming Languages) banner (e.g., OOPSLA proceedings) or the SIGSOFT (Software Engineering) banner; discussions should be held with both of these SIGS if SIGOBJ doesn't get created in time.
