I am posting this here as this is the only printer related newsgroup that we currently get at this site. Please email any comments to me as I don't read this news group regularly. Thankyou ****************************Posting begins********************************** I am a university student, and am a little confused about the sort of printer I should be looking at. Lasers are supposed to be excellent for resolution and speed, however I am interested in using it for desktop publishing in colour. I understand that ink jet printers handle colour well for a fraction of the price, but they are very much slower than their laser counterparts. Could someone please give me some details on the pros and cons of using either printer for desktop publishing in colour. I've currently got an Amiga 2000, and using City Desk. I'm thinking of getting into the IBM PC ballgame, and using some software known as Ventura. Do you know if this software is compatible with either printer? Thank you Jeremy Walters. ****************************Posting ends************************************ James Worsley jmw@ditmela.oz.au
