I don't recall seeing anyone try to answer this, yet, so please forgive
the delay.  The IETF met, last week, and I wanted to verify the procedure
for getting MIB numbers.

Turns out to be painfully simple:

Send a request to the Keeper of Numbers:

	Joyce K. Reynolds (jkrey@isi.edu)

Joyce works with the Numbers Czar, Jon Postel.

In effect, you simply are registering your organization.  She will give
you a number that resides under the private mib extensions portion of the
tree.
