TMX is a transaction-oriented OS used mainly by banks. We currently have a requirement to bring up TCP/IP as a replacement for our current XNS-based LAN offerring. I am looking for any knowledge of a VERSAdos-based OS running TCP/IP. Anything at all would be extremely helpful. On another related topic, we are having to decide very shortly on the method for getting TCP on TMX. One vendor has recommended a STREAMS emulator on TMX and then their STREAMS-based TCP on top. It's not clear to me that putting STREAMS on a non-UNIX system is worth the effort; aren't their good, up-to-date character-based implementations? Isn't BSD4.3 character-based? Thanks in advance for any guidance you may offer. Bob Williamson TOWER Networking Systems E&M - Columbia NCR Corporation
