The docs say that the utilities menu provides the amiga-equivalent of unix COMPRESS, supporting the full range from 12 to 16 bit compression. IT warns that 16 bit compression takes a lot of time, and a LOT of memory. MRbackup stores files in the .z format when it does backups.
