I have had a Supra Modem 2400 (external) for over a year now.  I have
absolutely no compliants.  I even got some free on-line time with
CompuServe in the packaging (although I have not used it yet (-: ).

If you're a good shopper, you ought to be able to get one for somewhere
near $100.
