Why? (At first I thought it was because I had opened a file or program from that diskette, and left it open when I removed the disk -- this is not the case now. I have tried leaving a file open, and it does leave the icon on the screen, but sometimes after I have closed all of the files from a disk, the icon still remains behind.) 2) I have noticed that when I run almost any program from the workbench, the ram monitor on the menu bar of the workbench screen seems to lose some of the memory that I had before the program began execution. What gives? On a related note, I have also noticed that if I open the RAM: device, part of the missing memory comes back. (Not all, but usually 10K or so.) +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ |The views expressed herein, are the sole responsibility of the typist at hand| +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ |USNail: UUCP: | |2323 Wells Branch Pkwy., #G107 cs.utexas.edu!romp!ibmaus!auschs\ | |Austin, TX 78728 !sabre.austin.ibm.com!robin | |Home: (512)251-6889 | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
