It's the Sony Pro-8 (forgot the model number, possibly V-8???). It *DOES* have a camera-VCR loop connection. You have to buy some stupid (and expensive adapter), but the loop-thru allows you to take the camera output, process it any way you want, and return the processed video back into the VCR to be recorded. I know, I owned the model until I gave it to my father (am now using a Panasonic AG-400 camcorder). The manual says the intention of the loop-thru is to use an optional superimposer (never saw it) or effects box (saw it, real crappy...) WHILE you were shooting. Since the V-8 already has a character generator (8 line, 100x100 res), it didn't mention the use of the loop for using an external c.g. My (now) fathers camcorder died on him, and I'm putting it in the shop next week (CPU failure). I'll let you know what the connectors are labeled. They are REAL small connectors, usually called PCB (PC Board) RF connectors. There is a possibility that Sony did have this loop-thru for one other model, but I can't remember the model number of that one either. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Robert Gutierrez -- NSI Network Ops Center | | NASA Science Internet Project, Bldg 233-8, Moffett Field, CA. 94035-5000 | |--------------------------------------------------------------------------| |"I want some......I need some......Emotion.....And More........"
