Thanks for all who responded to my message about the A500 having trouble
with cold startups (after it's been sitting for a few hours).  The
general consensus is that it is more than likely the power supply, which
I was hoping that it wasn't, seeing that most places that I called here
in Atlanta want $100+ for it (this is supposed to be a heavier duty power
supply NOT by Commodore).

It seems that Commodore has a history of faulty external power supplies,
starting with the C-64 days of yore (I had to purchase a new one for my
64 when I had one).
