I am wondering about writing a special standalone application that can be executed via "EX MYPROGRAM" or something, that will run without all the O/S overhead. I'd appreciate any pointers to any even vaguely relevant documentation. Where should I start reading? Or should I drop this idea right now? Send me mail and I'll summarize what I find out.
