How feasible is it to write your own program to be executed instead
of Domain/OS?  I am wondering about writing a special standalone application
that can be executed via "EX MYPROGRAM" or something, that
will run without all the O/S overhead.

I'd appreciate any pointers to any even vaguely relevant documentation.
Where should I start reading? Or should I drop this idea right now?
