When I first heard that the Apple II division was going to spin off from Apple
computer, I thought this was pure nonsense.  What could possibly be gained from
the split?  I can't imagine the mess this would create with most Apple Dealers.

But, how come Apple decided to ship tech notes seperately this month?  Eg.
Mac developers only get Mac tech notes, II developers only get II tech notes.
I imagine a good reason would be the great number of people joining each month.
But, then again...Apple also gives small signs every time they do something
strange.  Would this happen to be one of those signs?

Would this be a purely monitary motivation, or is something hidden in this
change in policy?
