Eg. This change in policy was suggested by the Developers Association(the group of developers that was formed at Applefest) to Apple at Applefest. The thought was if Apple makes tech notes separate then Apple can reduce the cost of becoming an Apple II developer. Right now the $600 fee may be too high for some people (like college students) to get Developer type support. By separating the support we don't have to get all the Mac garbage and throw it away thus making it cheaper. Hopefully we'll see Apple implement some of the other ideas brought up by this group. But I don't think the splitting of support represents a split in the company....Apple Co. makes too much from the II to get rid of it. mikes@shumv1.ncsu.edu <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Michael Steele mikes@shumv1.ncsu.edu mikes@ccvr1.ncsu.edu ALINK: MikeSteele mikes@ncsuvx.ncsu.edu BITNET: netoprms@ncsuvm.bitnet
