It might mean Apple's promotion people felt the IIe and IIc Plus would not benefit or did not need the advantages offered by a holiday promotional campaign. You didn't point out that the Mac Plus, Portable and IIci are also not included in the campaign. When I came to Apple, people told me that every move would be analyzed to death and I didn't believe it. I guess I was just naive.
