I worked in the computer store there as well. At the time I was there, no Apple II family computer was available for personal purchase by a student or faculty or staff member through the Higher Education Purchase Program offered by Apple. On the other hand, the institution itself (UCLA in my case), could purchase Apple II family computers through the Higher Education Purchase Program for institutional use.
