However, I would probably recommend a setup like this: ------------------------- |:::::::::::::::::::::::::| Old Expansion slot connector B ------------------------- A FRONT---> C ------------------------------------ K |::::::::::|:::::::::::::::::::::::::| New Expansion slot connector ------------------------------------ Card connector would look like this: ___________________ |_____________________________________| ||||||||||^||||||||||||||||||||||||| |||||||||| ||||||||||||||||||||||||| This way, some of the stupider users couldn't accidently plug a 16 bit IIGS card into an 8 bit slot on a IIe by having the extra pins hanging outside the slot. There appears to be enough room in the IIGS case for an 8 bit card to set in the extra inch or so.
