Commodore has lately (last 1.5 years) been doing a wonderful job of improving their customer and developer support. I would not accuse CBM of lying or cheating; for that, you should see Apple, Inc. These days it seems Commodore is running a fairly clean and smooth operation. It just keeps getting better. I wouldn't label the A3000, or even Amiga UNIX (AMIX), as vaporware. Amiga UNIX is, in fact, in functioning existence as we speak, and was demoed recently at some UNIX convention. The 3000 is simply the next step in the evolution of the machines, and there WILL be more, rest assured. Naturally, nobody in this newsgroup really cares what happens at Commodore. This is an Atari group. I'm an Amiga person (see .sig), and I just dropped in to see what you people were doing with your machines, so that I might make more intelligent conversation... This was the first article I saw. It's sad, really, since this kind of brand-prejudice is totally non- productive and has helped us all to come to live in an IBM-dominated world. I sure hope the rest of this group is better or I might as well just unsubscribe... >-- >Mark Johnson - via FidoNet node 1:147/10 >UUCP: ...!att!occrsh!uokmax!metnet!30.0!Mark.Johnson >INTERNET: Mark.Johnson@p0.f30.n147.z1.FIDONET.ORG +--------------------------------+--------------------------------------------+ | Jeff Bevis | "But I don't like spam!" | | bevis@en.ecn.purdue.edu | Give me Amiga or nothing at all. | +--------------------------------+--------------------------------------------+
