No. False.
No version of GfA Basic is in the Public domain.
There ist only the freely redistributable run-only-Interpreter.

But version 2.0 has become very cheap (DM 15; a dollar buys around DM
1.80) and the manual is not copy protected (printed red on black pages)
anymore.
