On the VM/CMS mainframe I work with, I use something called TPRINT to print out files via PC-Kermit. Whatever sequences it's sending are doing the trick because this works fine with v2.32a on a PC. I'll post a message when I know what I have. I took all the SET PRINTER ON out and substitute with "Enter a control-P for a print-out at the same point in the programs. Not as clean as I would like my programming to be but it works for now, until some nice guy like you comes up with a better answer. Thanks for taking the time. If these Fujis are actually real RX50-formatted diskettes, then that is an awfully good price and I know lots of people besides Rainbow users who'd be interested in 'em... -Bill --- ConfMail V4.00 * Origin: Still Servicing the Rainbow - Maybee Forever (1:101/1) ------------------------------ Date: 11-09-89 To: JOHN LELLIS Subject: PIBTERM V3.2.5 From: DOUG MURRAY Hi John, As you can see, I didnt really know which files where which... Fagundo ) GT> Organization: GenRad GT> GT> I have heard that there is a problem with DOS 2.11 and hard drives. It only concerned disks that have bad sectors. Suitable Solutions discovered that MS-DOS 2.05, 2.11, and (early) 3.10 marked the wrong cluster as bad in the FAT, so the bad sector would continue to be allocated. There was also a problem with error reporting. The solution was a workaround that was transmitted in diskette form with the Oct/Dec 1987 edition of Rainbow News. I assume this problem has been fixed with the commercial versions of MS-DOS 3.10. Anybody know? --- msged 1.99L MSC * Origin: Silver Bullet - Silver Spring, Maryland - 301-622-2247 (1:109/123) ------------------------------
