Also will a SCSI version be made available?" The raw mechanisms are available only in embedded SCSI and embedded ESDI versions. The mechs should be orderable from HP distributors now, although there may be firmware differences between the OEM/distrib versions and the Vectra versions. Whether you can pop any of these into older Vectras I couldn't say, not being a PC person.
