Message-ID: <4505@ast.cs.vu.nl> Date: 10 Nov 89 16:12:29 GMT Reply-To: ast@cs.vu.nl (Andy Tanenbaum) Organization: VU Informatica, Amsterdam Lines: 25 I would like to have a partition code assigned to MINIX partitions for the PC. (MINIX is a UNIX clone for the PC; I can send you information if you want.) If anyone knows how one gets a partition code assigned, please send me email. Probably somebody at IBM has the list, but I don't know who. The codes that I know of are: HEX 00 Empty Partition Entry 01 DOS 12-Bit FAT 02 XENIX File System 03 Old XENIX /usr File System, don't think used anymore 04 DOS 16-Bit FAT 05 DOS 3.3 Extended Partiton containing Extended Volumes 06 DOS Large File System (512b sectors, ~32-bit addresses 07 don't know 08 AIX, from above 52 CPM - I believe, but not sure Thanks.
