Hello,
   If anyone has some example code, or a good reference they could
point me towards for writing a interupt driven routine in assembler
that can be linked in, turned on, and then turned off, I'd really
appreciate it.

What I want to do:

    invoke program:
            turnon(&var) where var is a variable that the main program
                          will poll to find out when an external interupt
                          has ocurred.

             do main()
  
            turnoff();
