A few days ago I posted that I was having problems printing draw layer
text from SuperPaint on my DeskWriter. I could only get screen resolution
on my output.

Well, somehow the problem solved itself. I now get lovely output. It
works with both HP's scalable font and with ATM.

I wasn't imagining the original problem. I got several "me too" responses
from the net, so other people were experiencing the same thing.  I have no
idea what fixed the problem - if anyone has an idea, email me.
