Message-ID: <20782@ut-emx.UUCP> Date: 11 Nov 89 14:29:55 GMT Organization: The University of Texas at Austin, Austin, Texas Lines: 14 In order to balance some of the deservedly bad publicity Apple has been getting over Quantum hard drives, I'd like to give Quantum a plug. Quantum drives, purchased from vendors other than Apple, are fantastic. They are very fast, very dependable, and very competitively priced. I've used an internal, rear-mount Quantum 40 for over a year in a Mac SE. It cost half as much as an Apple internal 20, didn't require removing the upper floppy drive, and will be under warranty for another year. I've not used a faster drive under 100 mb. In my opinion, these drives are among the very best choices for the Mac user. Of course, I've no affiliation with Quantum. I'm just a satisfied customer.
