I seem to recall it was in the >$1,000 price range ( I know, big deal right!) It is also a backup medium with a very short future. Two "digital" tape backup media based on 8mm video tape ( this has already standardize on a drive made by EXabtye, and is currently being marketed for the MAC by PCPC and Genius about $5,000) and 4mm digital audio tape are about to swamp the market place. Does anybody real want to buy a media that was obsolete about 2 years ago and never developed any market penetration. Oh yeah, the 4mm and 8mm tapes have >2 Gbyte capacity. They may even obsolete optical disks (as far as the home computer market is concerned) Alan legrand
