I reply here for several reasons: 1. Email to one of the enquirers keeps bouncing. 2. The information may be of more general interest. 3. I have lost the address of the person who helped me - and whom I would like to thank. Somebody (see 3) kindly responded to a request of mine on this topic by sending me MacDumper. This is a PD package of Mac and Unix software to do backups (including incrementals) over a net. It took me a while to get it to work - but that was mainly my own stupidity. It's a bit large to post, so people might want to contacts its authors, at Bolt, Beranek & Newman - sorry they don't give an address. Whoever it was that sent it to me - THANKS!
