On the surface, PF works wonders. It is very fast and easy to use! However... I am finding that my file system is corrupted after someone copies files from my machine. A reboot has always corrected the problems (ie nothing fatal yet). Three examples: 1. MPW will stop running a script in the background. I cannot close any temporary files opened by the script. I can quit and restart, however. 2. MPW and the linker. I use the -mf option, which will chew up all available memory on the machine. Linker also opens as many files as it can. Usually a reboot is necessary after this case. 3. Quitting MacTerminal corrupted my MacTerminal document. MacTerminal reported error -38 twice (fnOpnErr). All this runs on a 5Mb MacII with colour. Yes, I run MultiFinder. Anyone have any suggestions? GDr -- Glenn D. Rasmussen VoiceCom:(613)738-1338x6106 P. O.
