Subject: Background printing isn't backgrounding????

I have strange problem that has cropped up and I am not sure what is
causing it. For some reason, when I have background printing turned
on, I have to bring PrintMonitor to the front before it will start
printing. Does anyone have a clue as to why PrintMonitor would 
not be doing its normal task of printing in the background? Thanks!
