[I would have kept this in email, rather than post, but I wanted to ask people to PLEASE list the other INIT/CDEV/RDEV's that you have in your system when you have problems. It makes it muchmuchmuch easier to figure out what's wrong. Thanks!] -- P.S. FYI: MPW is the ONE program that PF explicitly has to work around. It turns out that MPW uses a special file system to handle i/o to its windows. They failed to correctly implement the ASync version of PBGetCatInfo and since PF runs in the environment of the foreground application - KAPLOWIE.
