Summary: Are they reliable? Roch. Center for Visual Sci. Lines: 15 I am buying a MacIIci without the standard 40/80Mb cards from Apple, since I think I can get a bigger/better/faster drive from 3rd parties. I have seen Quantum 105Mb drives, 12ms access advertised for under $800, which to my untrained eye sounds like a good price. BUT I have heard about all these failures on the 40/80Mb Quantum drives -- are the 105's affected by the same problems? Does anyone have other suggestions for >80Mb, fast, reliable and cheap-ish drives (esp. ones that can be put in a IIci with no problems). Thank you, Carlo. carlo@cvs.rochester.edu "Oh shit, not /dev/null!!!"
