Can someone please explain this one to me.

One of the following three system calls corrupted the "partition map" on
my hard drive.  It was either SetHVol(), GetHVol(), or an inline
assembly call to the _Launch trap.
The only symptom which I got after the corruption was a system hang when
calling GetVol().
I found out that the partition info was messed up when trying to update
the HD driver using Apple HD Setup.  The program couldn't help me except
to reinitialize the drive.
