Now, its time to restore our user files...... Lo and behold ! The new release can't read/write multiple volumes on the VME QIC-02 cartridge tape anymore !! I have no idea why SGI would break something as fundamental as this. We've been doing multiple-volume backups/restores on our 4D/70 using the VME QIC-02 under 3.1 for over a year, and it worked fine.
