The current idea is to have a Sparcserver 370 as a central machine running Oracle (using 3*327 Mb SCSI disks), providing network access from Sun 3/50s and Sparcstations. Does anyone have ideas on the performance of such a system ? We are particularly keen to learn how the system stands up to e.g. 15 people accessing a 500 Mb database, all at the same time, just to give a possible example. As a side question, does anyone have information on the performance of Oracle if the database is distributed, e.g. over a Sparcserver and some Sparcstations ? Thanks Gunnar
