Yes, in fact I am doing so right now. I imported some binaries that I made some months ago at OSU on 4.0.1 with gcc 1.34 (or so), and had previously only been run on some 4/110Cs and a 4/360C (that one had an extra hi-res mono, too). The same server fired right up on this SS1 under 4.0.3c with a bwtwo0 with no problems at all. The performance is impressive, even with just the MIT R3 sample server plus Purdue 2.1 monochrome speedups. I'm looking forward to X11/NeWS with Sun's own performance work!
