We currently have an AMETEK System 14 hypercube and a Symult Series 2010 and desire a third system with reconfigurability and improved floating point performance. We would greatly appreciate any information from academic users as to particular vendors or configurations of transputers which they have found to be useful (or not so useful). Not only are we interested in hardware platforms, but also in the software and program development environment which is provided. We have a wide range of users from beginning undergraduates to experienced parallel programmers. Any information you can provide would be appreciated and may be addressed to: tim@wiliki.eng.hawaii.edu If there are sufficient responses, I will gladly post a summary to the net. We will also gladly accept inquiries and information from vendors (both hardware and software) either by email, phone, or surface mail. Our goal is to put together a system providing maximum utility for the development of parallel processing software. Thanks in advance for your assistance. --Tim Brown (tim@wiliki.eng.hawaii.edu) Assistant Professor 2540 Dole Street Department of Electrical Engineering Honolulu, HI 96822 University of Hawaii (808) 948-7576 948-7586 messages
