I quote from the TeXtures manual:
  'TeXtures has IniTeX built in, and it's {\em always} available'

So what's your problem :-)  (or rather :-(
And when you've solved that problem tell me how to do the
following with TeXtures:
1/ add fonts
2/ replace that ridiculous editor by my favourite one
3/ embed the formatter and previewer in the far better shell
  that I would write if only they would give me half a chance.
