HELP!

I'm trying to accomplish "ballanced" multi-column printing with troff. I've
been trying to modify the "mm" 2C and 1C macros to do this, but I'm having
little success...  Has anyone got an example or a set of macros I can do
this with?

Example:

     texttexttexttexttexttext
     texttexttexttexttexttext
     texttexttexttexttexttext
     break
     texttext        texttext
     texttext        texttext
     texttext        texttext
     texttext        texttext
     texttext        texttext
     texttext        texttext
     break
     texttexttexttexttexttext
     texttexttexttexttexttext
     texttexttexttexttexttext

The multi-column output may span several pages, what i'm trying to
avoid is on the last page having 3/4 of a page with only one
column and then the full width text below it.
