I'm trying to get things to work through a modem connected via a Maxspeed- SS8 serial board. The problem is when vp/ix starts up it apparently turns off "istrip" on the port and half the character set will no longer make it through. Is there any way to fix this cleanly. I can reset the istrip flag from another process after vp/ix starts up, but it gets changed back every time a unix command is executed. Is there some additional setup that I've missed? Thanks.
