Lines: 20 Sorry for posting this to comp.unix.wizards, but I was at a loss for a better newsgroup (not to mention I'm desparate). We recently went from straight terminal connections into our main machine to an Annex terminal server. Things are awfully SLOW now. I think one problem is that the Anex sends one packet per keystroke, which is overrunning the poor little ethernet controller in the main machine (a Vax 11/750 running 4.3BSD). My question: is there a way to configure the Annex so that it will send one packet per line? Or is my initial assumption (1 pckt/char) incorrect? Is there anything else I can do to speed this sucker up? Please email any responses.
