I once had that same problem, trying to hook up our AT to a Laserwriter II NT
through its serial interface. Though I can't distinctly remember how we were
trying to print (I don't think it was through windows), we fixed the problem
by typing in the following into a regular ascii file, then printing the file.
   showpage

Showpage is the postscript command to print and eject the page that was 
just transmitted. I hope this fixes your problem.
