Message-ID: <21278@ppgbms.UUCP> Date: 15 Nov 89 15:31:14 GMT Distribution: na Organization: PPG Biomedical Sys., Pleasantville, NY. Lines: 19 Is it correct to say that if a canvas is transparent, it will never receive damage events? We are currently running NeWS 1.1. In the code that I have written, it appears that if the canvas is transparent NeWS will not generate damage events for it. Is this true in X11/NeWS? or is it a bug in NeWS 1.1 that X11/NeWS has fixed? I am posing this question because I do not recall reading anything in the NeWS 1.1 reference manual that explicitly states that transparent canvases do not receive damage events.
