Suppose that MANPATH is /usr/public/X11/man:/usr/public/man, and that man pages /usr/public/X11/man/man1/X.1 and /usr/public/man/man1/X.1 exist. xman will select /usr/public/man/man1/X.1, which is inconsistent with the way most other man commands work.
