Message-ID: <626@kubix.kub.nl> Date: 14 Nov 89 13:40:22 GMT Sender: news@kub.nl Reply-To: wessel@kub.nl () Organization: KUB Univ, Tilburg, The Netherlands Lines: 30 Some remote running X applications don't communicate successfully with my local X server. When I run Xdbx or Xgi (the graphics interface of the Rochester Connectionist Simulator) on a Sun3/60 and display on my Vax-station 2000, I get these kind of error messages: Xlib: sequence lost (0x1004c > 0x82) in reply type 0x13! or: Xlib: sequence lost (0x10438 > 0x455) in reply type 0x16! In the case of Xgi some X requests are not correctly processed: a request to draw a string doesn't result in a string on my display. These error messages and display problems do NOT occur when I display on the Sun X server (MIT). Who causes the trouble: the application, Xlib or the (DECWINDOWS) X server Xqvsm? -----------------------------Wessel Kraaij--------------------------- Institute for Language Technology and Artificial Intelligence ITK Tilburg-University E-mail: wessel@kub.nl p.o box 90153 5000 LE Tilburg-Netherlands phone: (+31) 13 663117 ---------------------------------------------------------------------
